Adobe does not want to ban AI art. They want it to only exist in the hands of wealthy copyright holders. They want art styles to be copyrighted for the same reason: so they can make money from owning other people’s work. So they can sue you for drawing something too similar to an art style they own

we really can’t overstate how damaging it has been to indoctrinate the public with the idea that if they let themselves eat as much as they want, they’ll eat too much. human bodies, when permitted over the long term to eat as much as they want, actually get really, really good at calibrating their hunger and satiety, and will over time eat exactly the right amount for themselves. the common conception of a balanced eater as a minimal or restrained eater is absolutely wrong. balanced eaters eat quite a lot (compared to diet cultural ideas about right intake amounts), and they do so consistently and permanently. healthy, balanced eating isn’t some tightrope walk, it’s a gigantic net of total permission to eat.

one time in my last job a woman came up to the register explaining that when she bought stuff a day prior the clerk forgot to scan a pair of socks worth less than €2 and it was only right for her to bring it back to the store and pay for it proper. unfortunately my manager was directly next to me at the time and took over the register to handle this serious issue. the receipt she had brought with her said which register performed the previous transaction that forgot the socks and the manager could find out who was running that till on that day. poor dude had a manager yell at him for a half hour about how much of an incompetent fuck up he was, he left the job immediately after but i couldnt tell you if he quit or was fired
i think about this moment a lot. the customer seemed like a sweet woman with only good intentions and when she paid for the socks she had a look on her face that said “i feel good because i did the right thing”. and a guy lost his job because of a pair of socks. if shit like this ever happens to you and a clerk forgets to scan an item just think of it as a small blessing or that you had good luck or something. keep it.

as a little kid, I enjoyed community sports a lot, and then around middle school i got heavier and worse at running and suddenly sports were just… off limits. the focus was entirely on being a good, competitive team and “kids having a fun time, getting exercise, and making friends” meant nothing. refusing to allow trans kids to play is the exact same principle
it would be kinda cool if hollywood being shut down had the side effect (besides hopefully getting everyone better working conditions ofc) of getting some non US movies and shows a bit more of a platform again outside the US, cause why the fuck is there like mostly only hollywood in much of the world, i love the chokehold US imperialism has on pop culture, it’s great
